Pope Leo XIV said: «As a Mother never abandons her children, you must be faithful to her.»
Beautiful is the Feast we celebrate today, with which we conclude the annual month dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
The Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ comes to assist us in our daily tasks, in household chores, and in the errands we must perform.
The paths of service require much time and effort.
Saint Elizabeth blesses the Mother and the virginal fruit of her womb, acknowledging God’s intervention in our daily lives.
The more tedious, arduous, and complicated the tasks, the company of Our Lady of the Visitation will make them meaningful and useful for all.
Therefore, let us be closer to the Virgin Mary in these times, especially those of difficulty.
This Feast, established by Pope Urban VI in 1389, situated between the Solemnities of the Annunciation of the Lord on March 25 and the birth of Saint John the Baptist on June 24, calls for us to cultivate the fruit of Christian joy through effort and dedication for the good of others.
This is what being faithful to the Mother of God means.
